A Boston man who plotted to kidnap children, rape and eat them, was sentenced Tuesday to more than 26 years in prison. Under a plea deal with federal prosecutors Goffrey Portway also agreed to be supervised for the rest of his life. Portway, a citizen of the United Kingdom and most recently of Worchester, Massachusetts, also faces deportation following his release from prison, according to court documents. In May, Portway pleaded guilty to distribution and possession of child pornography and solicitation to commit a crime of violence.
Portway went by the moniker “Fat Longpig” during his online chats, according to court documents. It was during these chats, prosecutors allege, that the 40-year-old discussed abducting, raping, murdering and eating children. During a search of Portway’s home officers discovered a number of disturbing features including a soundproof room in the basement with a metal cage with a circular hole for feeding, bondage and castration tools and a child-sized coffin.
